Tiny Happy People

The creative

Tiny Happy People is a service from BBC Education aimed at parents of children aged 0-5. Their goal is to reduce the number of children who start school without the expected levels of language and literacy by 50%. Their website and social media offer advice to parents and caregivers on how to improve children's communication skills.

The Redbricks Media team played a leading role in managing the brand's Instagram and Facebook pages since their launch 2020.

The outcome

  • 4,000+ social media posts created

  • 35,000,000 total views

  • 100,000 followers in 12 months

  • 700,000 average weekly reach

What we do

Whilst working with Tiny Happy People, our roles included:

  • Developing launch & continuing strategy

  • Creating graphic & video content

  • Writing brand guidelines

  • Community management

  • Providing performance reports & learnings

Our main goal was expanding the reach of Tiny Happy People’s posts, as well as continuously growing their following. We constantly observed what content was working and what wasn’t and adapted our strategy to reflect our learnings. Monitoring data with monthly reports allowed us to stay engaged with the audience and their changing needs.

The brand

Brand awareness was one of the most important considerations with this project.

We wanted the branding of Tiny Happy People to be extremely recogniseable in all the posts we created. Even though we were working with the prestigious BBC name, we were starting a brand new account with a new imprint.

From day one, having uniformity throughout the posts we create was extremely important. We created brand guidelines for the Tiny Happy People team to follow, which included brand colours, templates, subtitle styles, colour contrast considerations and lots more.

These guidelines were constantly updated to reflect new social media formats, such as Instagram Reels in 2020.
